Repair Sewer Line
A clean out must be installed where the main sewer line leaves the house. This is the requirement of Louisiana State Plumbing Code. These clean outs usually get covered up under a flower bed because it was installed at or below ground level.
The location of these clean outs account for 50% of main sewer problems in Sugar Land. One of the reasons causing main sewer problems is roots. When there are plants or trees expect that there are also roots. If a fitting is not properly glued or assembled, what happens is moisture will seep out attracting roots.
These roots will later on penetrate the sewer line. Mock Plumbing highly recommends installation of sewer clean outs at a level high enough not to get covered up by any landscaping. Also, always use a sch. 40 PVC pipe for main sewer lines.
