Repair PVC Line
It is usually difficult to know right away whether or not the plumber you hired provided quality work. More often than not it may take several years for one to realize that the work done by the plumber is really good and of high quality.
In this particular job, it took approximately eight years for the plumber’s poor workmanship to show up. Because of substandard quality of work, the PVC water lines failed to hold up to stresses from temperature and pressure changes including stresses from ground or structure shifts.
Two leaks formed in these water lines due to not clean cuts in the pipe. Failure to cut all the way through the pipe left a little bit of material holding the pieces together that were broken or sheared off. The little nipple left did not allow for the pipe to be pushed into the fitting all the way which also caused a stress point in the joint.
Mock Plumbing was hired to repair the leaking underground pipes for this customer in Sugar Land. A total of four pipes had to be cut and repaired in order to fix one leak. Call your local residential plumber, Mock Plumbing for a free estimate on underground pipe leak repairs.
