Stoppages are the most common and troublesome plumbing drainage problem encountered by homeowners. One example is kitchen sink stoppages that occur mainly when grease or cooking oils are rinsed down the drain.
Due to grease build up inside the kitchen sewer line because of food, the kitchen drain pipe most of the time gets clogged as shown in this fitting draining the kitchen sink. In this particular job, Mock Plumbing removed a damaged 2” cast iron tee and replaced it with a 2” schedule 40 PVC wye. A 2” cleanout is also installed with threaded plug for easy access when the sewer line needs to be cleaned out using an electric sewer snake.
